    Delicious breakfasts and cozy charm

During our stay, we were particularly impressed by the gourmet breakfasts prepared by Zach, featuring homemade pastries and a delicious bacon and cheese crepe that set the tone for our day. Our room was not only clean and comfortable but also beautifully decorated, enhancing the overall warmth of the experience. Plus, being able to enjoy these meals outdoors while soaking up the serene atmosphere was a delightful touch. The only minor drawback was that the bathroom facilities could get a bit busy during peak times.

    charming decor
    delicious breakfast
    supportive bed
    muddy parking

The charm of Open Gates Bed & Breakfast captivated me upon arrival. The decor felt inviting and added to the overall ambiance of warmth. My room, the King Room, was clean and well-maintained, offering a great space to relax. I particularly appreciated the king-size bed. it provided excellent support for my back, making it easy to unwind after a long day. Breakfast was a standout feature, featuring homemade pastries and classic favorites. the bacon was especially delicious. Conversations with Zach, the owner and chef, were enjoyable and he catered to dietary preferences thoughtfully. I did notice that the parking area became muddy due to rain, which could be inconvenient for some. Additionally, although my experience was overall positive, the shared spaces felt a bit cramped at times during breakfast hours. Still, the warmth from the staff and the quality of the food made this a wonderful stop during my travels. I look forward to returning.

    muddy parking

King Room with Garden View provided a spacious atmosphere with beautiful decor. Proximity to a charming riverfront area made it easy for a relaxing walk.

The parking area suffered from being muddy, likely due to recent rain, which could pose a challenge for those arriving by car. The proximity to the street could lead to some noise during peak hours but generally not disruptive.

We loved the charming decor and the delicious breakfast made fresh by our host, who clearly knows their way around the kitchen! There was a lovely garden area perfect for relaxing. An inviting lounge with comfy seating. The only tiny hiccup was the slightly muddy parking area from the rain, but it didn’t take away from our great experience. 😊
